Cyclone Energy Group is pleased to announce that Frank Kohout, PE, has been named Senior Engineering Specialist. In his new role, Frank provides engineering and technical services in the support of new commercial buildings and existing building owners, facility managers, and property managers.
Frank was previously the Lead Building Systems Engineer for McDonald’s Corporation’s Global Restaurant Construction and Real Estate team (for 11 years). Acting as the Corporation’s global main point of contact for all Building Systems expertise, his roles included creating and implementing global building systems standards and best practices, developing and maintaining individual countries building systems expertise, and providing his expertise for other corporate initiatives. Prior to that, he was the Principal Mechanical Engineer for McDonald’s US Restaurant Design, where he functioned as the Mechanical Engineer of Record for over 500 new restaurants in 50 states. Additionally, he worked as a HVAC project engineer at WMA Consulting Engineers.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and has been actively involved in ASHRAE at the national level as a member of the technical and standards kitchen ventilation committees for 10+ years. He currently is a PE and holds LEED AP BD+C and a CPMP certification from ASHRAE.
