For Immediate Release: Irina Susorova Joins Cyclone Energy Group As Research Analyst

Cyclone Energy Group is pleased to announce that Irina Susorova, Ph.D., R.A., LEED AP has joined as a Research Analyst. In her new role, Ms. Susorova will lead technical research projects as well as help lead design assistance services to building designers.
Irina was previously an architect at Lucien Lagrange Architects and Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill Architecture where she designed residential, hotel, office, and mixed-use high-rise building projects in both U.S. and abroad. She also worked on design and research for a major capital renovation project at the University of Chicago Facility Services. Irina has professional experience in design of multiple stages of building design, interdisciplinary coordination, technical detailing, and construction administration, in both the U.S. and abroad. Her interest and expertise are in the design of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings, high-performance building envelopes, and building energy analysis.
Irina earned her Ph.D. in architecture in 2013 from the Illinois Institute of Technology where she researched energy-efficient buildings and energy modeling techniques and conducted experiments on building thermal properties. As part of her doctoral research, Irina developed and experimentally-validated a model to quantify the thermal performance of vegetated facades. Irina also led successful funding efforts, coordinated funded research projects, and authored peer-reviewed journal articles.
Irina is a licensed architect in Illinois. She also holds Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) accreditation.
