As Building Analyst and Project Coordinator, Kate performs detailed energy modeling simulations, distills engineering insights into approachable graphics for non-technical audiences, and manages projects within the High Performance Building Studio.
Prior to joining the Cyclone team, Kate was a Sustainable Design Engineer and Project Coordinator at Positive Energy, where over the course of 2 1/2 years she advocated for sustainability through modeling, research, presentation, communication, and collaboration in the high end residential sector. Prior to Positive Energy she interned at both PCI Solar and Page.
A native of Austin, Texas, Kate graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
Kate is an Engineer in Training, E.I.T., IBPSA Member, and IBPSA Emerging Professionals Society Member.
Fun Fact: Kate biked 4,000 miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska in the summer of 2018 as a member of Texas 4000 for Cancer.
