CHICAGO (October, 2021) —Cyclone Energy Group is pleased to announce it has earned the designation of WELL Performance Testing Organization, awarded by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). With this designation Cyclone is now authorized to provide independent, third-party verification for building projects pursuing WELL certification in support of human health, productivity, well-being and comfort.

Cyclone is among the first consulting firms in World to earn this designation.

In 2018, IWBI and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), the third-party certification body for WELL, debuted updates to Performance Verification by introducing the WELL Performance Testing Agent and WELL Performance Testing Organization. On-site performance testing can be conducted by WELL Performance Testing Agents who are employed by a WELL Performance Testing Organization. To qualify as a WELL Performance Testing Organization, companies must have at least one approved WELL Performance Testing Agent and at least one WELL AP (Accredited Professional). At this point Cyclone has two Accredited Professional team members.

The WELL Building Standard is revolutionizing the way people think about buildings. It explores how design, operations and behaviors within the places where we live, work, learn, and play can be optimized to advance human health and well-being. As a performance-based system, every WELL project is verified through on-site, post-occupancy testing of building performance by WELL Performance Testing Organizations that employ GBCI-trained WELL Performance Testing Agents.

The WELL Building Standard, administered by GBCI is applicable for both new and existing buildings, as well as interiors. A majority of WELL certified projects are currently in the commercial and residential sector, but it is anticipated that other sectors will follow as interest in WELL continues to increase.
