As a Sustainability Analyst, Li performs calculations, assessments, and technical analyses to support green building certification processes. He has managed LEED, WELL, ILFI, and Green Globes certifications across diverse project types, contributing to documentation, coordination, and carbon accounting services, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). His expertise ensures projects meet high-performance sustainability standards while optimizing environmental impact.

With a deep passion for architecture and sustainability, Li earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Architecture from University of Nottingham. After moving to the U.S., he pursued a Master of Science in Design – Environmental Building Design at University of Pennsylvania, along with a Certificate in Energy Management & Policy. While in school, Li conducted research in heat pump adoption policy, Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), adaptive building envelope, and Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. His graduate paper ‘Dynamic Insulated Shutter System for a Double-Layer Building Façade: A Case Study with Physical Prototype’ was accepted and presented in the 2024 Annual Modeling and Simulation Conference (ANNSIM). Through his academic and research experience, Li developed a strong commitment to integrating sustainability into the built environment, driving his career toward high-performance, energy-efficient design.

Before joining Cyclone, Li gained diverse experience through architectural design and EV infrastructure internships in China, a part-time teaching assistant role at UPenn, and a summer internship in Energy & Sustainability Services at JLL’s Bank of America account.

Li grew up in Hangzhou, China, a city renowned for its breathtaking natural scenery, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant urban life. Despite his global experiences, it remains his favorite city in the world.

In his free time, Li enjoys watching and playing sports as well as immersing himself in music. A passionate Chelsea FC fan, he follows their matches closely. A rock music addict, his favorites include Pink Floyd, Television, Radiohead, The Cure.
